Summary of Pricebook, The “Real” Gadget Price Comparison Website
Currently with a team of 12 members, Pricebook focuses on Indonesia’s merchandises such as mobile phones, computers, and other electronics to aggregate product specs, reviews, and prices from online & offline shops to bring satisfactory shopping to everyone in the country.
In the developing Southeast Asian markets, with the introduction of new budget smartphones and the continuous income increase, shopping demand is definitely on the rise. On the other hand, the limited infrastracture in the countries is causing various troubles in e-commerce. So, not only does Pricebook offer price comparison, but also delivers solutions to both consumers and businesses with an aggressive approach to each side’s requests and their traditional purchasing/selling behaviors.
For the users, active reviews and forum threads serve as the community to find answers to their questions. For the merchants, Pricebook provides shop exposure and market data to support their online marketing. Pricebook as a marketing tool is taking off quick, with hundreds of offline gadget retailers in Jakarta logging into Pricebook admin screen to update their pricing information. Furthermore, Pricebook has been putting special effort to build up actual merchant communities as well as user communities, in order to enhance their online related sales. This is coming into effect in the form of special discount vouchers only for Pricebook, which often allows shoppers to save much more than they would by purchasing online normally. Pricebook is now becoming a major platform to connect online and offline commerce, and will keep on improving on the service including a new mobile app to make it the most beloved shopping search engine in the markets.
